We are a full service tax planning and preparation office. Our services range from a simple individual income tax return to corporation, LLC, trust, and gift tax returns. We also offer tax planning throughout the year to account for unexpected changes in your specific financial circumstances. Our three full time tax preparers are ready to solve all your tax headaches. Melbrod Financial Services now accepts “mail-in tax returns” for clients who aren’t local to the San Diego area or if you just don’t have time for a scheduled appointment.

Fee schedule

Since taxes vary from simple short forms to complex multi schedule returns our fees are based on the experience of the preparer requested and time needed to complete the return.

The Melbrod Financial Advantage

Unlike many large tax prep companies with hundreds of branches, we do not charge on a per schedule basis. This means that we look at your tax return as a whole instead of charging for each schedule filed to the IRS. For example, a personal bank account may accrue interest throughout the year triggering a 1099 being sent to you, which needs to be filed to the IRS. This could be a minimal amount and one simple extra step for us to file. Instead of charging for this as a separate schedule, this would be included in the overall fee because of its simplicity for our preparers.
